How well does the black hair color spray sold at Halloween wash out of hair?

I was wondering. My daughter wanted to be Cleopatra for Halloween. Her hair is the right length and I was trying to decide between a wig (she is 7 and I thought it might be itchy and not stay on so well) and the colored hair spray that is sold at walmart and such.

Her hair is a dark blonde. I know that the semipermanent haircolor in black doesn't wash out very well, so was kind of afraid of the black hair spray. Has anyone used it? How easily does it come out?

We use it almost every year for one costume or another. It washes out really easily, one, maybe two washings if you use it heavily.

my brother uses it all the time, and it comes off really easily, but you'll probably need a lot of it if your daughter has long hair

I use a brand from Sally's Beauty Supply and it mostly washes out the first time. It depends on the brand... the cheaper ones don't wash out as easily. I use it on my hair a lot, and it hasn't damaged it. Good luck. =]
