Naturally black hair and dark ash brown dye?

My hair is naturally black, somewhat wavy. fine in texture.

fair skin..what would happen if I used a dark ash brown color

over my black hair? would it lighten it or make it flat looking?

Naturally black hair and dark ash brown dye?

it probably wont change a bit! try it but your gonna waste money for nothing.

if you dont want to bleach your hair and have to go through all that damage, just use "oops" it takes the dark color out its NOT BLEACH it wont damage your hair as bad as bleach they sell it at walgreens must warn you the smell isnt that great but its worth it i use it all the time

Naturally black hair and dark ash brown dye?

Think about it. If you colored with a black marker, then took a light brown cream marker and colored over it, what would happen? Nothing, you can't cover black color with another color. don't do it, it will dry ur hair, if it does anything possibly make it brassy in patches. go to a professional and see about lighter highlights, this way it is gradual and not so hard on the hair.

Coloring over black hair.?

i dyed my hair black 6 months ago then i tryed to dye some of it red but it only took to the roots. so i dyed the roots back to black my natural hair color is dark brown but i want to go to a medium to light brown but i dont know how to dye over the black i dont want it to take to the roots only. does anyone know the process of stripping haircolor off and dying it again? thank you

Coloring over black hair.?

Putting light hair color over a darker color wont do anything, For a lighter tone you can use bleach with a light toner... If your looking to go just a shade or two lighter then I would recommend washing your hair with a good shampoo and baking soda to get allot of the color out, then using a color stripper (which will take your hair to a copper/orange color), Then a lighter hair color.. If you go to Sally's beauty supplies they can help you find a good one. If you are going to use the bleach make sure you get a toner, and make sure you get a Violet mix in avoid redness/brassiness.. If you go to a hair supplies store they can defiantly help you pick out the right things and help you understand how to use them. For damage after wards I would recommend a hot oil treatment and a conditioning mask called "Aussie 3 minute miracle" You can find this at any target or wall mart.. Of course nothing beats getting it fix professionally.

Coloring over black hair.?

ask a stylist

Coloring over black hair.?

ihave darkrown /black hair and i would go to a pro

Coloring over black hair.?

You should go to a salon and let the professionals handle it. Bleaching hair isn't the easiest thing to do at home. You might end up with hair you can't live with seeing every single day.

Coloring over black hair.?

There's a way to stip the hair dye out but it does way more damage than dying it. You could try bleaching it, but I suggest getting it done professionally. Black hair is hard to work with if you do it yourself.

I have dark black hair, how do I get it white?? ($15 Reward)?

No joke, I been searching for the longest on how to do this, I want my hair to be white like this guy ----%26gt; http://allstar2.gurus.com (The old guy at the bottom his name is Frank. I want my hair to be white like that. IS it Possible??

My hair is jet black naturally (like Jet Lee's hair)

Now to get the $15, you do it the way I'm explaining I will vote you best pick, and you email me your addresss or some address and I'll send you the $15, that's how desperate I am.

(How to Answer Me)

Don't just give me a website, I need someone to explain in simple step by step HOW to do this. Be very clear, e.g.

1. Buy a bleaching product called so %26amp; so

2. Wash hair

3. Get it Bleached

blah blah

Then I try it out and see if what you explained works, and I get my hair white as that guys own. AND THEN I send you your money.

I have dark black hair, how do I get it white?? ($15 Reward)?

It is not possible. If you bleach your hair you will not beable to get it any lighter than a light lemony blonde. With your hair being dark it wouldn't even get as light as a lemony blonde because it would break off before reaching that point. Bleach is a decolorizer, not a color. It takes the color our of your hair. You can only take out so much color before you hair weakens and reaches that breaking point.

I have been doing hair 9 yrs. and have never seen a white hair color.

I know this is not the answer that you are looking for, but it is an honest answer!!

For all you people being mean, this girl had no idea and you shouldn't be so hard on her. For the blk. chick who made the racist comment "Your *** should be turned in for your ignorance" If a white person made a comment like that it would hit the fan.

Oh, Manic Panic is not a bleach, it is a semi-permanent color that has no lift only deposit. It will not do a thing for your hair.

Good Luck,

Stylist of 9 yrs.

I have dark black hair, how do I get it white?? ($15 Reward)?

u r nuts

I have dark black hair, how do I get it white?? ($15 Reward)?

WAIT y da hell do u want ur hair like dat ? well her u go stupid..

1 get a white hair dye or bleach

2 wash hair

3 apply items to hair (read box)

4 wash out

5 wa la white hair! that wasnt that hard

BLEACH

1 let it sit in hair for about 30 mins.

2 wash out

3 white hair!

I have dark black hair, how do I get it white?? ($15 Reward)?

I don't want your 15 dollars :-) But to bleach your hair completely white, you could go to a beauty supply store and buy Manic Panic bleach. It will have step by step directions. The only thing is, the kind you should use and the timing depend on your individual head of hair, it would be best to have it done at a salon so that your hair doesn't fall out and you don't burn your scalp. A salon that does trendy punk styles would probably be experienced in this.

FYI: Manic Panic makes both bleach and colors.

http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.as...

and this guy on the left of this page did exactly what you want to do with it, go from black to white:

http://www.manicpanic.com/dyehardstoo.ht...

I have dark black hair, how do I get it white?? ($15 Reward)?

wear a wig

I have dark black hair, how do I get it white?? ($15 Reward)?

Don't worry about the $15...you're gonna need it to buy a wig, because yes, you CAN do it, but it is gonna be hell on your hair, and anyone that tells you otherwise is not telling the truth.

What you do is bleach it up as far as it will go. You follow the instructions on the bleach kit and then do it again...wait a few days and do it again, wait a few days and do it again. You're gonna go through some awful red stages.

Eventually, it won't be white by bleach alone, because you'll get to the place where you've stripped it except for the hair's keratin, which is not white, but instead, a light reddish-blond color.

When you get it there, and with jet black hair, it is gonna take some real work and time, you are going to have to go back to the Beauty Supply store, and buy some COLOR, not bleach, to go over it. They'll have white or shades of light light platinum to go over it. This is to cover and fill in where you've stripped the hair strand. And to infuse the white color.

You don't wanna do this...you're gonna ruin your hair! That much stress to the hair strand will give you breakage...you'll notice your hair is much thinner, shorter, but yet IMPOSSIBLE to get a comb through without a gallon of conditioner.

So yes, it can be done. But not a good idea!

That's how you'd do it yourself...

Some salon would take it on for you and that would be a better bet, but it wouldn't be cheap or easy for them either. However, that would be a better way to go because this will be a multiple step process.

It's gonna burn your hair, man. But yeah, it can be done. Just shouldn't.

I have dark black hair, how do I get it white?? ($15 Reward)?

you cna keep your money but here is how you can do it. it's easy but time consuming.

buy some bleach and 30vol developer

mix it according to the instructions and leave it on your hair (not on the scalp, about 1cm away from your scalp actually.) leave it on for 20min and sit in the sun or a dryer.

wash it out, don't shampoo but wash it out all the way and then dry it off with a blow dryer.

reapeat the steps again for 30min. it's still not gonna be white but it'll be blonde. then that day deep condition your hair for 30min and let it air dry. deep condiotion for a few days and then bleach again. you don't want to strip your hair more than twice a day though. you can buy all the products at www.folica.com and they ship for free!

just so you know this will destroy your hair but good luck!

I have dark black hair, how do I get it white?? ($15 Reward)?

Cute lady,

I suspect that lady (in the pix) was a blonde as a child and this is how she has aged gracefully, or with a little help at the salon.

If you have such beautiful dark hair, I don't think I would tamper with the whole head. Just for fun, you could try a very small section to lift. To from a level 1 or 2 to a 10 or 12 you will need a "on the scalp oil bleach", a lot of time and lotza and lotza money$$$$ and a VERY, VERY EXPERIENCED AND good colorist hairdresser that specializes in NOTHING but hair color.

This is a very difficult procedure. You could volunteer as a hair model at hair show, contact your professional beauty supply store for hair shows coming up and it will be done for FREE!!!

Hair shows are going on now thru Thanksgiving.

If you insist in doing this yourself, please reserve some $$$$ for a nice wig until your hair grows out..allow about 1/2 inch per month.

Hey just save your money, buy the wig, (Raquel Welch has the best!) the color you want is, Glazed Vanilla is the great color I think you want to play with . You can be a blonde whenever you want without the damage, up-keep and expense with a cute wig or hair piece.

So Wig Out and have some fun,

The Diva, Darling

PS-

Black Girl can't spell or write either, guess she has her thong in a wad and it cut off the blood to her brain.

I have dark black hair, how do I get it white?? ($15 Reward)?

I am hairstyles and your going to have to bleach your hair in a number of steps if it jet black.

CHI bleach is the best for lifting a number of level fast

and use 40VL developer

keep it on NO LONGER then 30 mins

its going to be a orange brass color so but it on again (PUT SWEET INLOW IN THE BLEACH) THIS well help it from not burning your head keep doing that Intel you get the color you want.

But the best thing to do is go to a salon but its going to coast ya and if you dont have alot of money find a beauty college look it up in your phone book That coats ALOT less and they do a good job because they have teachers helping them

I have dark black hair, how do I get it white?? ($15 Reward)?

While some hair fall daily is natural, stress, hairstyle products and lack of nutrition can cause excessive hair fall as listed at http://tinyurl.com/kshvn . By changing your lifestyle and using herbal remedies, you can reduce hair loss. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/py7z4 .

Black Hair = Greesy?

Does anyone else have this problem? I mean, everyone says black hair can never look greesy, but it does. I wash my hair everyday but alot of the time it looks greesy, i dont understand becaue its clean. is there anything i can try ?

Black Hair = Greesy?

Black hair not being greasy? Yup, that's a myth!

Lol, all hair gets greasy. It doesn't matter what color it is.

Although, some hair colors tend to look more greasy than others, especially blondes with out grown darker roots.

First off, you shouldn't wash your hair everyday. I know that might sound yucky or gross, but it's actually healthier for your hair depending on the courseness, to go every other day or for really course hair maybe even every 2 days or so.

By shampooing your hair every day you wash away the natural oils your pores of your hair produce. The more you wash, the more your productive your oil glands are.

Same thing goes with your face. Ever known someone who washes their face multiple times daily and still has an oily face? Well, that's why!

Try washing your hair every other day, and also try switching your shampoo. Purchase a certain shampoo that helps control oil, and you should start to see rapid improvements!

I hope i've been helpful!

Goodluck %26amp; Godbless!

Black Hair = Greesy?

Sure thing! Look carefully at shampoos the next time you are shopping. Many shampoos have formulas specifically for oily hair, which is what you need.

Good luck!

Black Hair = Greesy?

Try visting a salon and ask for deep-conditioning which will lead you to healthy, shiny hair without grease!! The reason taht your hair is greesy is maybe becasue you use products such as gel, moose, hair spray and stuff like!! They can make your hair really greesy sometimes so be very careful!!

Black Hair = Greesy?

You might have product build up. Try using a clarifying shampoo. The best one is Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo. I use it about every 2 weeks to "deep clean" my hair.

Black Hair = Greesy?

I have the exact same problem!!! It is the shampoo you are using...I use REDKEN BODY FULL...It works.I use it.

Black Hair = Greesy?

when u buy hair products see if it says contains oil or something

Black Hair = Greesy?

If you are worried and need some daily care, you may try a good hair care product from Germany "Ultronic Super Hair Tonic". Send a email to this address: keenseek@msn.com and you may get more info.

How do i dye my blonde hair black for one day?

So there's this project at school where i have to dress in the exact opposite of myself, so i want to dye my dirty/strawberry blonde hair black...like changing my race from white to asian with the darker hair. BUT i do not want to go permanent, i LOVE my blonde hair. What can i use for a one-day-use to dye my hair black?

because i really don't want black hair for ever...i like my blonde, but i just want black for one day. but if it works for like 3, that's ok too. just as long as it's not like, a week.

thanks!

How do i dye my blonde hair black for one day?

you can get black hairspray in the Halloween aisle at most stores, just spray in then wash right out, we use it every year

How do i dye my blonde hair black for one day?

there's a spray that washes out

How do i dye my blonde hair black for one day?

DONT do it. My mother has a hair salon and is very experience. Even the temp color can be a disaster. WEAR A WIG! That perfect blonde is so hard to get, don't mess with it.

How do i dye my blonde hair black for one day?

PLEASE dont do it. find a wig

How do i dye my blonde hair black for one day?

You can try using a temporary hair color, but it might take some time to wash out. They usually last for 6 - 10 shampoos.

How do i dye my blonde hair black for one day?

Wear A Wig

How do i dye my blonde hair black for one day?

Dye it black with a demi-permanent hair color, then wash it out with Color Oops.

How do i dye my blonde hair black for one day?

Since your hair is blonde and you want to go black, do not use any temporary hair color, hairspray, gel, etc. Black is so concentrated that you might not get your blonde back for awhile and it could be a disaster. So your best bet is to get a wig!!

Im going from Naturally Jet Black hair to Golden Brown...Im scared!?

I haven閳ユ獩 dyed my hair in almost 3 or 4 years. Before that, I was constantly dying it, going from black to brown to red and every shade in between. Finally I got tired of the constant upkeep and not to mention, I was ruining my hair. Now, I am going back to school and I have decided to dye my hair lighter. 4 years ago, I decided to dye it jet black so I wouldn閳ユ獩 have to deal with it anymore. A few weeks later I changed my mind and wanted it light again but when I dyed it, only the top half of my head was brown, the ponytail was jet black! I have been told once you go black, it閳ユ獨 really hard to lighten up but it閳ユ獨 been so long since I dyed it, do you think it will happen again? I am pretty sure the dyed part of my hair has grown out since I have cut it several times in the past few years. What do you guys think? I figure I do it today, just in case, but do you think the color will take? Also, should I dye my eyebrows too?

Im going from Naturally Jet Black hair to Golden Brown...Im scared!?

i am changing from black to golden brown also, i recommend to go to a professional salon. they know what kind of shade goes better so it wont be as dramatic.

Im going from Naturally Jet Black hair to Golden Brown...Im scared!?

Go for it!!

do it urself to save money i always dye my hair myself and it turns out fine

and if worst comes to worst u can always dye it bak

u only live once!!!!

=D

Im going from Naturally Jet Black hair to Golden Brown...Im scared!?

i honestly have never seen a successful "do it yourself" dye job, from a darker to lighter color. All the ones i have seen end up brassy/orange. I would also suggest a professional salon. it'll be worth the money.

Im going from Naturally Jet Black hair to Golden Brown...Im scared!?

Why are women never happy with the colour of their hair? Your hair is talking to you - it says "I want to stay black....not brown".

Be careful making so many changes or when you're 30 years old, your hair will look 85 (if you have any left)

Strip Black Hair (Dyed)?

I have Schwarzkopf Deep Black 99 in my hair and I want to get it stripped to put in Red Passion 43 (No you can't dye over the black I've already contacted Schwarzkopf they said it themselves.) Does anybody know what I can use to strip my hair, how often I use it and what damage it will do?

Strip Black Hair (Dyed)?

you have to go to a professional salon, usually dye strips are so strong they dont sell them in stores, but salons have them and can use them the correct way...

I dyed my hair black but I want to go blonde, what product can I use that won't completely dama

I dyed it black about 3 to 4 months ago so some of it is gone so I have black dye and my natural brown. You have to keep in mind that I have black HAIR DYE so I need something really strong to take the hair dye out.

I dyed my hair black but I want to go blonde, what product can I use that won't completely damage my hair.

You need to have your hair done by a professional.

Do not attempt to color it yourself.

I dyed my hair black but I want to go blonde, what product can I use that won't completely damage my hair.

YOUR BEST OPTION IS TO GO GET IT DONE AT A SALON MY EX DID IT AND IT WENT 4 DIFFERENT COLORS BEFORE BROWN AND IT IS STILL FRIED AFTER 5 MONTHS

I dyed my hair black but I want to go blonde, what product can I use that won't completely damage my hair.

I don't think there's much you can do. You'll just have to bleach it slowly, or you're really going to damage your hair. Go see a professional, but they'll probably tell you the same thing.

I dyed my hair black but I want to go blonde, what product can I use that won't completely damage my hair.

I definately recommend you going to a professional to have this done. If you try to strip it at home, you could make your hair orange, yellow or many other colors. I am a cosmetologist, and there's nothing on the basic market for you to use. Call some local salons and ask for pricing if money is an issue. Tell them what you did and what you used, and ask what they would charge. I hope it works out for you.

I dyed my hair black but I want to go blonde, what product can I use that won't completely damage my hair.

i agree with him ,but there is product out there to removal the dye but u cant predict the color that is going to come out. good luck

I dyed my hair black but I want to go blonde, what product can I use that won't completely damage my hair.

If your hair is dyed black your best bet is to go to a salon and have the black lifted. Any product that you buy from a drug store to strip your hair is going to fry your hair and in most cases won't lift the color either. I wouldn't go to a low end salon either because if you go to the wrong person they could really mess your hair up.........I speak from experience!

I dyed my hair black but I want to go blonde, what product can I use that won't completely damage my hair.

If you used a 'box black' then your pretty much screwed. you will not acheive the lightest blonde that you want, you will get muddy browns, and oranges. Unless you bleach and bleach and bleach. But then you will have no hair left! Even if you go to a salon it will most likely be a double or triple process blonde.

I dyed my hair black but I want to go blonde, what product can I use that won't completely damage my hair.

there's no magic product that won't make your hair fried.you must be bipolar to to go from black to blonde.good luck.

I dyed my hair black but I want to go blonde, what product can I use that won't completely damage my hair.

Go to a profesional. There is a way to fix your hair that will not damage it at all, however it HAS to be done by a hairstylist because it's very involved and there is a good chance you could really screw up your hair.

How do I go from brown/black hair to golden brownblonde hair?

Yeah so how do you go from brown/black to golden brownblonde? And what products should I use? I dont want to go to a stylist because I know that If I've bleached my hair and it came out the correct way I can do this. Thanks for your help if any given %26lt;3

How do I go from brown/black hair to golden brownblonde hair?

look for a permanent color, choose the color you want, and use a developer that has 40 vol./12% peroxide, the color must not be more then tone 5, other wise it will not work

How do I go from brown/black hair to golden brownblonde hair?

Go to a store and look at the hairdye stuff! Then read the instructions on the back of the color you like! Good Luck!

How do I go from brown/black hair to golden brownblonde hair?

Look on the boxes of permanent color to see which light shade will produce the color you want. Also, you might try highlighting your dark hair first, then following with your light color. It tend to make your hair less one dimensional and look so much more natural. You don't have to highlight each time you color, just occasionally.

How do I go from brown/black hair to golden brownblonde hair?

u should stay in da sun a lot more, it'll kom naturally, n in somtin like ... 1 or 2 weeks, i think. + it tans u. u cud always get it dyed, n use l'oreal, it z da best.

How do I go from brown/black hair to golden brownblonde hair?

probably dye your hair slowly to the color u want depending on how dark it is. If u dye it all at once ur hair will go 2 color shock and be a REALLY ugly orange

How do I go from brown/black hair to golden brownblonde hair?

when my antie die my hair she used beach but the one u buy at a beauty salon i dnt have the name of it at the moment but its kind of burns but its good dats how u can get a light color if u have a dark color u 2 sally beauty supply if they have one were ur at right noe dats were i buy those supplys

How do you make black hair lighter?

i have like jet-black hair....So i've been told. And plz dont tell me that i should like my hair the way it is bcuz its my hair. But i want my hair really really light...Does lemons really work if u have jet-black hair...Help me please!!

How do you make black hair lighter?

Yes, lemons do work. I had a friend that had really dark almost black hair. He sat by the pool in the sun every chance he got and constantly sprayed his hair with lemon juice. By the middle of summer he looked like a surfer, which he had been when he was younger, with his hair all bleached out golden blond with white highlights.

How do you make black hair lighter?

Yes lemon juice really does work, swimming in clorinated pools also lightens your hair too. But, be careful, its not good for your hair.

How do you make black hair lighter?

No don't use lemon juice, it dries out the mostuire in your hair.

How do you make black hair lighter?

Lemons can give you light highlights to your hair, but the only way to go lighter is by bleach which is extremely damaging, but if you take care of your hair properly afterwards, it should be okay. Also, if you are going to bleach your hair, do it professionally to minimize the damage!

How do you make black hair lighter?

YOU DONT HAVE ANY HAIR YOUR IN THE MATRIX. DUH!!!

How do you make black hair lighter?

Definitley do not use lemon juice in your hair it would just dull it because black has a diffrent pigmentation to it. The only way I know of getting it lighter is to go to a salon they will propably have to bleach it and then dye it to the desired color. Good luck and have fun it's your hair. =)

How do you make black hair lighter?

yes lemonds work you just got to kepp on doing it and getting out in the sun and you could even get a tan then you will look HOT!!!!!!!!!!

How can I make dyed black hair fade faster?

I have naturally light brown/dirty blonde hair that I dye black. It's summer, and I want to fade it to a color that will take in deep, copper red dye like I had it dyed a previous summer. How can I do this?

How can I make dyed black hair fade faster?

Wash it with baby shampoo. Why do you think babys has very soft fine hair, it strips hair of all its impurities, including haircolor.

How can I make dyed black hair fade faster?

sunlight.. .lots of it

How can I make dyed black hair fade faster?

you could die it..My mom did and it didnt damage her hair......I hope u lked my hlp.

How can I make dyed black hair fade faster?

Wash your hair oftent to soften the color, but it won't be able to remove it. You have to wait until it grows. You can also re dye your hair. My advice is work with it for as long as you have it. DRess yourself in a way that will complement you beautiful hair and self. Love Mk :)

How can I make dyed black hair fade faster?

wash your hair more often. But as you have light hair it will be slow and difficult.

How can I make dyed black hair fade faster?

wash it in prell every day

How can I make dyed black hair fade faster?

go get some PRELL shampoo, it will strip out the color faster than other shampoo's. there is also a product i think it's called "oops" or something like that. it strips the color out to your natural color and you should be able to re-color the same day or the next.

How can I make dyed black hair fade faster?

i would say to wash it as much as possible thats how my hair faded i had it brown died it black and it faded to almost brown now... you use those hair lighteners but it might damage your hair,i'd say u should just dye it :) hope it helps :)

How can I make dyed black hair fade faster?

One way...BLEACH. I had it dyed black b4 to make it healthier( it works), but then I got tired of the color so I decided to go red. I went to the salon and they wouldn't touch it%26gt;...They said it's too hard to get the black out and that it would get damaged, also that it will come off in patches. Well I did it on my own anyway. Get a strong and fast acting bleach, to minimize damage, let your hair turn to a dark blond or at least a light brown(make sure every strand is soaked with bleach so you wont get any patches) . Also if you don't let it get light enough it'll look blackish. Get your stuff from a sally's or those beauty shops

How well does the black hair color spray sold at Halloween wash out of hair?

I was wondering. My daughter wanted to be Cleopatra for Halloween. Her hair is the right length and I was trying to decide between a wig (she is 7 and I thought it might be itchy and not stay on so well) and the colored hair spray that is sold at walmart and such.

Her hair is a dark blonde. I know that the semipermanent haircolor in black doesn't wash out very well, so was kind of afraid of the black hair spray. Has anyone used it? How easily does it come out?

Thanks!

How well does the black hair color spray sold at Halloween wash out of hair?

We use it almost every year for one costume or another. It washes out really easily, one, maybe two washings if you use it heavily.

How well does the black hair color spray sold at Halloween wash out of hair?

depends?

im sure the cheaper ones will really damage your hair

and maybe the less cheaper ones will come out pretty easily?

you have to look at consumer reports or something

How well does the black hair color spray sold at Halloween wash out of hair?

my brother uses it all the time, and it comes off really easily, but you'll probably need a lot of it if your daughter has long hair

How well does the black hair color spray sold at Halloween wash out of hair?

I use a brand from Sally's Beauty Supply and it mostly washes out the first time. It depends on the brand... the cheaper ones don't wash out as easily. I use it on my hair a lot, and it hasn't damaged it. Good luck. =]

Where can I find pics of hairstyles for thick, black, straight hair?

I really want my hair to remain long. i dont want it to be above my shoulders. My hair is so thick it goes everywhere. I usually part my hair to the side but i like it in the middle cuz the side with more hair flips inward and the otherside flips outward. I have naturally straight, black hair. I also would like to find the perfect bangs to cover up my forehead, where most of my acne is. I want to find a website or magazine or whatever to show to a hairstylist. Any ideas?

Where can I find pics of hairstyles for thick, black, straight hair?

I use this as a guide for a new hairstyle for myself based on my face shape. What u like may not be ur best hairstyle. Your hairstylist can also help to choose the type of hairstyle which suits u and still makes it remains long. =)

H.O.T.!!

Who likes the combination of black hair and blue eyes?

I have to admit, that's one of my favorite feature combinations, whether on a male or a female, and it's not always a sexual attraction of any sort. Those two features go beautifully together - I'd have them if I could. But I'm stuck with "salt - n - pepper brown" hair and hazel-tinted brown eyes. I went to school in Johnstown with a girl named Dorothy who had those features - she's one of the few women I've ever been attracted to.

Who likes the combination of black hair and blue eyes?

i love dark hair and blue eyes. thats why i recently died my hair that used to be light blonde to very dark brown. it makes the eyes pop soo much, and im attracted to guys with amazing eyes.

Black hair shampoo??

i need like shampoo for people with black hair?

anything but not pantene it makes my hair fall out!!!!

Black hair shampoo??

try john frieda's brunette shampoo and conditioner

designed for dark hair, gives gloss to ur locks

Black hair shampoo??

why not try avalon lavender

Black hair shampoo??

There are so many shampoos out there to choose from and they usually specify what type you need for what type of hair you have, dry,brittle,frizzy,colored,permed,oily,d... just depends on what type you need for your hair.If your hair is naturally dark then just a daily shampoo,if colored then something for color treated to keep your dark locks looking fresh.

Black hair shampoo??

Ew... try sauve!!!!! Remember to drink Cranberry juice!!!!!

Black hair shampoo??

You dont need a shampoo specifically designed for black hair to achieve the looks you want, just get a deep moisturizing conditioner to replenish your hair, Aussie has multiple great 3-minute extreme conditioners that really improve the shine to your hair, plus they help to keep your hair healthy, i would avoid a shine serum though, those can make your hair feel greasy.

good luck!

Black hair shampoo??

Is your hair natural or color treated black? I have dyed black hair and I use the pro-vive nutra gloss- keeps my black hair shineeeeeeeey!

Black hair shampoo??

Hey Stephanie - I don't know if this helps, but if regular shampoo isn't helping, you might try looking in an Indian, Middle Eastern or African market. They carry shampoos to make black hair very lustrous and strong. A friend of mine brough back some shampoo from Morocco and said it was the best stuff she'd ever used. Try this link: http://store.indianfoodsco.com/grocery/P...

Black hair shampoo??

Motions is very good.... I use nothing but that and the conditioner is good too....

Black hair shampoo??

design essentials, dudley

Black hair shampoo??

go to the dollor sore they have green apple shampoo and condishener it helped me with my black hair

Black hair shampoo??

If your hair is thicker, coarser, curlier or has a tight S curl pattern, you do not necessarily have to purchase a "black" hair care shampoo. However, you do need to purchase a shampoo that will replenish your hair with natural oils, which are very necessary for healthy black hair. Black hair, because of its many curls, needs natural oils present in its hair care products because the oils that are naturally produced by the hair find it difficult to travel from the root to ends of the hair. Here a guide on finding a great black hair care shampoo:

1) Say no to chemicals. Purchase a sulfate free, silicone free shampoo. Sulfates are hair drying detergents found in most shampoos that cause black hair to break and become brittle. Pantene, and most shampoos, have these. Thus, you will have to spend a bit more to have a great shampoo, but it will be worth it. Try Beauty 4 Ashes GodHead Silky Smooth for Ethnic Hair. It has natural oils, no detergents, and is Aloe Vera based. You can also try Khoret Amen Sea Moss Shampoo by Carol's Daughter. The smell is not the best, and it contains some all natural ingredients, but no bad detergents.

My hair is black and i want to dye my hair burgundy red?

i was wondering which product works well without having to lighten or bleaching my hair. i have really black hair and i don't want to bleach my hair. i also don't want to go to the salon.

My hair is black and i want to dye my hair burgundy red?

what you are asking for is pretty much impossible.you would have to lighten it a little to get it to be burgundy.and i would definitely recommend going to a salon.i am a stylist and at home hair color can be a disaster.good luck though!

Using Henna to cover grey on black hair?

I've read so many questions and answers on Yahoo about using Henna as a hair dye but I am still confused. Have more questions:

1. I have black hair and want to try using Henna to cover my grey. It seems that Henna black is harmful to use. If true, what is a safe way to use Henna to cover grey hair and turn it black again?

2. I used other hair coloring product on my hair before, if I use Henna now would it bring unpredictable/harmful result?

3. Is there any ready to use Henna dye that I can buy without having to mix the powder myself? It seems quite complicated to do.

4. Is there any hair salon that specializes in Henna hair coloring in the SF Bay Area?

Thanks in advance.

Using Henna to cover grey on black hair?

I worked in a salon where the majority of clientele were from India. Many of the women and men used henna to cover their grey hair. Right after you have used the henna your hair will be darker. Henna does not darken grey hair. The grey hair processes more orange, burgundy or reddish. I would not recommend using henna for grey coverage unless this is the result you desire. If you apply henna to hair that has been coloured the henna should cover the colour. It's the reverse process that could bring an unpredictable or harmful result. It is difficult to colour over henna.

If you want to match your natural colour or try something new all together I suggest going to a salon. Professional hair colour lines have changed a lot over the years and they now have colours specifically designed to cover grey hair.

Good luck!

Using Henna to cover grey on black hair?

I believe what you're thinking of is Indigo. To cover grey's, you have to henna first, and then Indigo over it. Information on how to do it, and where to buy things is at this website. 've been henna'ing my hair for the last 2 years and it's the best thing I've ever found.

www.hennaforhair.com Report It

Using Henna to cover grey on black hair?

you can mix about 2 table spoons of coffee in 500 gms of henna and mix it with tea decoction ..this will give you a maroon color and and reapplication will totally remove your greys. Report It

Using Henna to cover grey on black hair?

i think henna in hair always come out more burgandy than any color

Using Henna to cover grey on black hair?

Henna is not the answer for you. Henna leaves a red to burgandy tint. It would be a disaster on greying or white hair. Better to go to the best salon that you can afford and let them give you a professional consultation because black hair with stubborn-to-color grey/white really needs an expert to color it. Either that or just get a great cut and live with the natural colors of your hair. Good luck.

Using Henna to cover grey on black hair?

If you have a few grey u can use henna. It will give a brown shade to grey hair only. If some chemical added to get black color it is not natural But you can get some natural technique to get more colors.

It is not a black dye. It is a conditioner and is medicinal.

Darker black hair?

Why is it that when people dye their hair black it looks darker than natural black hair or is it just me?

Darker black hair?

Yeah! I agree dyed black hair looks heaps darker. I think it's because hair is naturally bleached/lightened from the sun so what starts off as black hair becomes browner over time so dyed black hair looks darker because its just pure black.. no light bits! does that make sense?

-deb =)

Darker black hair?

Yeah, it's darker...

Darker black hair?

it looks darker than natural black because 1. it is dye......chemicals. 2. if they already have dark hair to begin with, then putting on a dark color on top of a dark color will most likely result in a darker color.

Darker black hair?

no its true, because people with naturally black hair really have dark brown. when u dye it black youre putting in a dark blue or purple tone that shows as black.

Darker black hair?

Its darkness only depends on how you delute your dye before applying it to your hair.

Darker black hair?

it does look darker. the dye might darker or their skin tone off so it look darker. not sure.

Darker black hair?

I think everyone pretty much clarified it for you. There's no such thing as naturally black hair. Look at it this way: black's a shade, not an exact color. What most people consider to be black hair is actually VERY dark brown hair.

And yeah, the chemicals in the dye give it that 'much darker' effect.

Darker black hair?

it always does

go 2 shades lighter than you want to get the color right

that is how i do it now

learn from experience

Darker black hair?

well, very few people have a very black color, if the person is quite white, it's gonna look even darker beacause of the contrast.

Cheers!

Where does the saying "Jet Black Hair" come from?

Just wondering why people sometimes say someone has jet black hair.Wonder if it has anything to do with jets? Idk.

Where does the saying "Jet Black Hair" come from?

The term "jet black" has been in use since the 1200's and refers to a very very black fossilized dense wood that is now like a stone. Guess what that stone is called? Yup "jet" It's Jet Black.

Where does the saying "Jet Black Hair" come from?

well when people say that something is sky blue i wonder if it has something to do with the sky

Where does the saying "Jet Black Hair" come from?

There's a stone called jet (actually a piece of fossilized wood, which I just learned myself) that is an intense, very shiny black.

It's often used in jewelry (rings and pendants) and it's not very expensive. If you're interested, www.auntiestreasures.com

Where does the saying "Jet Black Hair" come from?

Jet is a black material.

Where does the saying "Jet Black Hair" come from?

The Term "Jet Black Hair" Is a compairison to Jet A dense black coal that takes a high polish and is used for jewelry. When you say jet when describing something it means; Made of or resembling a dense, black, highly polished coal.

I'm a very fair asian girl. i have light black hair & want to highlight.any suggestions abo

I'm a very fair asian girl. i have light black hair %26amp; want to highlight.any suggestions about highlight color?

I think caramel or shades of brown look best. Dark red or auburn might look good too. They will give you more dimension. Also, I suggest subtle highlights, noticeable but not strikes.

I'm a very fair asian girl. i have light black hair %26amp; want to highlight.any suggestions about highlight color?

I know someone with black hair who has carmele highlights. Its a really light brown. Looks amazing. Ask a hair dresser for their opinion too.

I'm a very fair asian girl. i have light black hair %26amp; want to highlight.any suggestions about highlight color?

Either get cherry black highlights which are red in some shades of light and black in others, or get dark brown highlights

I'm a very fair asian girl. i have light black hair %26amp; want to highlight.any suggestions about highlight color?

I really don't want to drop $60 at a salon, so I'm considering L'Oreal Color Rays.

http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j...

From what I've heard, since my hair is dyed and not natural black, I'll need to bleach it. What are the steps to doing this? Is there any other way?

Dyed black hair, want red highlights?

What you'll need to do partly depends on what kind of black dye you've been using if you use a level 3 permanent you may need to bleach out your hair a few times to get it light enough to dye the red over, if you're only using a temporary black (level 1 or 2) it'll be easier to lift. This bleach tutorial tells you everything you'll need to know about bleach and I always advise everyone on here who is going to bleach out their black hair to read it first because it's super detailed and written by a professional hairstylist-- http://community.livejournal.com/dyed_ha...

Dyed black hair, want red highlights?

Listen, I know fashion---and that is NOT attractive. Sorry to hurt your feelings....it just isnt workin' for me.

Dyed black hair, want red highlights?

dont do that...

Dyed black hair, want red highlights?

They make a red paste/gel you could try that first to see if its really what your wanting....If you bleach your hair strips they will become drier than the rest of your hair....also can damage and cause split ends.....I'd try a temp paste/gel first just to see if its what ya really want. They sell the paste /gel at local walgreens....cvs......rite aid...for under 10 dollars.

I want black hair!!?

I want to dye my hair black but i keep it on the short side, i get it cut every 2-3 weeks, so is it worth it to dye it because by the time i get it cut won't it have grown out enough that all the black would be cut off?!?!?

The other thing, and i know this is a stupid question but i need someone to answer it, hair dye doesn't permanantly change your hair color right?!? your natural color grows back in eventually right?!?!?

I want black hair!!?

Yes, your natural hair color will grow back in and you'll have to get touch ups. I reccommend strongly that you invest in a professional, in-salon dye job and make sure you take good care of it -- black is the *worst* color to do at home because it often comes out cheap-looking, especially if you don't know how to properly maintain the color.

I want black hair!!?

noooo!!! dotn do black.... plz. n e thing but black. and yes. your natural color will grow back in.

I want black hair!!?

Black dye is easy to touch up roots, so go for it. It would grow out soon if you keep your hair short.

And yes. Your hair will grow, and the black will stay on the old hair. (eventually growing out)

I want black hair!!?

well i think u should dye it black...um but yeah for ur other ? yeah ir natural color grows back. but if u do dye it and u dont like it. theres this stuff u can buy and it will remove the color. =)

I want black hair!!?

i would buy hair dye at a drug store and do it yourself - it's cheaper. and yes your natural hair color does grow in and if you have short hair then it should grow in pretty fast. so if you really want to dye it black then go for it!

I want black hair!!?

Having your hair cut that often means you won't have black hair all that long. But you re-touch the regrowth each month to keep the same color. If you like it, go for it, hair does grow 1/2" per month, so if you don't like, it'll be gone soon. No, even though hair tint (dye is only for fabric) is referred to as "permanent" it doesn't affect anything under the scalp. Just the hair above the scalp is colored.

I want black hair!!?

you can not have.

I want black hair!!?

it does grow back in

i dont have a solution on what to do

but w/e you do DO NOT buy a hair dye kit thingy where you do it yourself

it will come out terribly wrong!

^shake your bon-bon^

I want black hair!!?

Hair grows on average a half an inch a month. So, unless your hair is only a half an inch long, the dye job should last you 2-3 hair cuts. You could prolong that by doing "root touch ups" in between hair cuts. You can get those kits at any drug store along with some pretty inexpensive black hair dye. :)

In regards to your other question, no, hair color doesn't permanently change the color of your hair..even if it says permanent on the box. It only colors what is on top of the scalp. Any new growth will be your natural color. If only that were the case though, I'd know a lot of people who could save a lot of money at the hair salon! :)

Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

I have black hair and some of it turning brown. is that normal my family has black hair there is no brown in their hair. i really want brown hair what should i do to keep it changing colorS? thxs if you answer this question閳俱儮娅忛埦銉㈡珡閳?br>Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

I'm Asian, and we're "supposed" to have 'black' hair, but mine turns brown, because of the exposure to the sun. I'm like a sun sponge; I tan easily, and my hair changes colors. But the ends of my hair are way lighter than the roots, because they've just been more exposed to the sun.

But I'm not saying that to keep it turning lighter, you should spend excessive time outside - skin cancer scare going around.

You might want to look at this link; it talks about lightening your hair using lemon juice. One of the answers/comments even says something about using beer instead!

http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf431619.tip.h...

Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

its cause the sun.

Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

yeah that happens to me. im Chinese and i have " black hair" but i think its like really really really really dark brown hair. because if you hold it up to the sunlight its like brown

Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

first thiers no such thing as black hair only dark brown considered brunnette alot of people think its black but they are wrong the sun can make it lighter so u can see lighter hair then you saw before so your doing nothing wrong

Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

I thin that is because u sped some time in the sun!

so just don't be soo m uch time out in the sun!

Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

i dont, but my friend does from cholrine haha so maybe go swimming a lot :P

Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

well i would say stay out n da sun

Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

go outside like to the beach or something and stay there for 3 hours everyday for like 2 weeks and soon ur hair will all be sortof a dark-medium brown color w/ some black lowlights

Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

sometimes hair lightens because u don t eat right

start taking vitamins

and u re lucky its only turning brown

my hair is ORANGE when there s light on it

Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

you may be overstyling. lay off the hot curlers and irons.

that was happening to me, and I have jet black hair. and then i started to air dry my hair and my hair is as dark as its always been.

Do you have black hair thats turning brown?

it's because the sun or chlorine.

Or it's that your hair is getting old

I have black hair and tried to dye it red but it only showed up on my roots. how can i fix it?

i dyed my hair black but wanted a change so i tried to dye it a very dark red (towards black) but the only hair that was colored was my roots! what can i do to get this black out? and how soon?

I have black hair and tried to dye it red but it only showed up on my roots. how can i fix it?

It absorbed the red in your roots because thats the deadest part of your hair. You should stop trying to do it at home and go to a professional. You don't want to over process your hair! Believe me, been there and done that! Its NOT fun!

I have black hair and tried to dye it red but it only showed up on my roots. how can i fix it?

The only way you can fix it is dying it again, OR trying a dye that is meant for dark hair. I had to use dye made by L'oreal (it's in the gold box) that is MADE for dark hair. It contains a little bit of bleach in the dye, which makes the dye sink in better. You shouldn't dye it right away because that will literally destroy your hair. Wait at least a week to fix it up. Also, if you want the new dye to fade in the meantime, wash your hair with body wash, and then condition with normal conditioner (not conditioner that's meant for dyed hair). The body wash will make the dye fade because it's harsher than normal shampoo. But, if you do this, it's important to condition afterwards, because of how its harsher.

I have black hair and tried to dye it red but it only showed up on my roots. how can i fix it?

STOP!!! You cannot dye over dyed black hair! Get a professional or wait to grow it enough to cut the black off, it will be much healthier that way.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument abo

No one will ever "turn black" by gettin' golden from sun-bathing. And no one will ever "turn white" from hair-straightening treatments.

And, for crying out loud, neither will ever get anyone accepted by either "black" culture or "white" culture. A black woman with straight hair is surely NOT going to get a "white ticket". And a white women can't be a "sista" simply by roasting in the sun. Nope, neither is going to happen... So why do we go on and on about "whites tan to be black" and "blacks straighten to be white"?

Why are we stuck in such a stupid rut? Why can't we just stop BS arguments like this and accept that people are just people who do things because, duh, they want to do things?

What's wrong with us? Why can't we accept each other?

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

some people just don't get it. i understand completely what you're saying.

yea uh, people don't simply "do things". we're all influenced by something. but you [someone above] are not getting what this person is asking and saying. anybody with common sense should be able to see that she isn't claiming that people don't try to be something they're not. after all, that's exactly what you're doing when you alter your appearance [you're changing yourself to have traits that you didn't have before]. uh, hellllo! that's not the point. the whole point of the question is to ask why people think black women straighten "to be white" and white women tan "to be black".

and excuse me, but anyone with a brain knows racism is why perms became popular. that's not the issue here. the issue is why are we still making these accusations? and it mostly isn't the white people doing it anymore. we're doing it to ourselves. the majority of white society has accepted "ethnic" hair and whatever people want to do with it. we, black people, are the ones who are turning gray over this nonsense. why? correct me if i'm wrong, Action, but i think what i'm saying is sort of where you were going with this question.

and yes the curly hair arguement does make sense. do you see any whites accusing each other of trying to be black just because they get curls in their hair, or any black people either? no. no one accuses the white people of this, and that's what i think she's trying to say [that for some reason people are stuck on making hair accusations to black women just like they're stuck on making accusations about tanning to white women].

i sure am glad that at least SOME people understand what you [asker] are saying.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

Obviously nobody looked at the link... Blacks are constantly sold the same image, still today. All the images you see of perm boxes are of less ethnic women. Not only with straighter hair, but lighter skin. It's embedded in African American culture. Report It

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

The "White Image" of beauty is constantly being sold to them and they are BUYING into it. It's not the same as the tanning example OR the curly perm example because white women have never been asked to assimilate. What would they be assimilating to? Report It

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

I understand the argument, but if you don't look at the history of perms and how litte the images of American beauty has changed, you will see that you cannot compare perms to tanning, at all. It doesn't make sense. period. Report It

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

However, let me note that i does not have to be a conscious decision, but iis still the harsh reality of African American culture:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=17f...

Not the best example, but you get the point, right Report It

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

By the way, your arguement is extremely is simple minded. Try looking at African American advertising in a historical context, it'll add more depth to your argument. Report It

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

we cannot accept ourselves.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

because people are looking for something to argue about. your right about this %26amp; its not only BS but its childish. this is why other contries look down upon us do to this childish high standards %26amp; the pity raicsim still going around. but im black %26amp; i dont like my hair being curly when its long, honestly i dont know where that statement about trying to be white came from but that is just plain ignorant. if i have my afro out thats sumthing different then me wantin my hair straight for a new style. come on now people

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

People like to nit pick over every little thing.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

I completely agree with you. Who cares?? But I can say that I'm sick of hearing black people on here say that white people are trying to look more "black".LOL...I always laugh my a*s off when I hear that. Because last time I checked, black women are not and never have been considered the standard of beauty...sorry. Unless we are speaking of the wiggers. That's a whole other issue. Yes they are sad, pathetic, posers of which neither race respects.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

#24-Black women are beautiful no matter what these white folks say. Yes a standard of beauty created by white folks for white folks. To hell with their standard of beauty. Beauty comes in many shades and shapes. Sad enough white people don't accept other forms of beauty, other than their own.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

i have no idea personally i find it rather amusing. the lengths folks will go to prove that they have nothing in common with this group or that never ceases to amaze. it seems that humanity and logic have never made good bed-fellows so if for nothing else i might as well get a good laugh out of it now

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

Yeah... people tend to make mountains out of molehills. People just do things because, in general, we all want what we can't have. I don't think it's necessarily a black or white thing either... Redheads want to be blonde, curly-haired people want to straighten, chubby girls want to be thin, thin girls want curves... the list goes on. It's just human nature...

I agree with you that people should not judge others and act like someone's going to lose their ethnicity over a change like that

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

People don't simply "do things". There is a reason why people want to tan and why people want to relax their hair. And there is a reason why it's popular, and much of it is emulating something that you are not.

Personally, I don't know why tanning became popular, but I do know that perms became popular due to racism and assimilation. Which is why rejection of assimilation came in style with the Afro and Black Power/Black is Beautiful Mov't, and why some black Americans choose not to relax their hair. However, I believe relaxers are so embedded in African American culture that it's not simply a "desire" to look less ethnic. But that's where the argument stands...

Your curly hair arguement doesn't make sense.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

LOL!

very well said :)

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

You make some valid points. As for Linda B., Obviously, you have not been very many places or seen very many people. Beauty exists in all races. It is most narrow minded and superficial to suggest that there is one measuring stick that defines beauty the world over.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

It's really sad.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

It's because some people have no lives and are willing to complain over anything. I don't know why this topic is even mentioned anymore.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

what? my friends black daughter straightens her hair because she doesn't like her curls not to be white. And why would people tan so they can be black? You need some professional help and soon.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

I never did understand that how tanning was synonymous with "wanting to be black." when I heard that on here, I was very amused. I wasn't surprised that black people would claim that.

"White" sun-tanning vs. "black" hair-straightening- Why is there an argument about the two?

agree with ceasarmo....

Can I use Brunette shampoos on almost black hair?

I have reallllly dark brown hair, almost black, how can I get it to be a lighter brown? What can I do? Would those brunette shampoos make my hair lighter? If not, what will? I don't want to dye my hair, though....Thanks!

Can I use Brunette shampoos on almost black hair?

The shampoos will not lighten your hair, and Sun-In will turn it orange! Dying is probably your best bet, but hanging out in the sun will help. To get it to a lighter brown without going orange, I would go to a quality salon for the dying. Otherwise, you might wind up looking like Bozo the Clown!

Really, your hair color sounds pretty as it is. Maybe you could try a new style, or just get some highlights, or lowlights, to change it a little, without having to do anything drastic. Good highlighting will give the impression that it's lighter, anyway. I'd try that first, if it was me. Good luck!

Can I use Brunette shampoos on almost black hair?

SUN IN can make your hair lighter without having to dye it. I dont think the shampoo's would do anything I have blonde hair and have tried the shampoo's in the past for blondes and my nephews (that im raising) have really dark brown hair like their mothers and it didnt do nothing but clean their hair

Can I use Brunette shampoos on almost black hair?

nope it wont hurt you i have Brown hair and i use blode conditioner

Can I use Brunette shampoos on almost black hair?

no the brunette shampoos will not turn your hair lighter...the only think that would, would be dying it.

Can I use Brunette shampoos on almost black hair?

if you hang out in the sun....it will get lighter....my hair always gets lighter after a day at the beach or sumthing...

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

I have these blacks come in here and they have their hair up in a bun for a couple weeks and when they have me wash their hair a couple times there was mold and ringworms under there. After that I refused to do anymore black hair and besides I can't stand to touch their course hair. Blacks should go to their own hairstylist. I don't think any whites go to black hairstylists. Just one more reason to leave the city and move out west. I've been hearing a lot about that lately and I'm seriously consering it.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

In a bun for over a week. Where are all of these bun wearing black women? Mold and ringworm????? And I see you have issues with the truth. Hair does not develop mold nor ringworm in week. Um, haven't you seen white prople in dreads and braids? You seriously don't think a white hairdresser did that, do you? More whites will go to black and Dominican hairdressers than vice versa. Even white women want their hair "hooked up." Your post is a bunch of bull, and you just wanted a place to vent your racist views. oh yeah, and the word in your lie is spelled "coarse."

Good ahead, move out make your neighborhood happy.

OK - You gave your actual opinion in the first place, don't try to clean it up now, I saw another answer you gave - but here goes (for someone that might actually want a REAL answer). More than likely the she has something like alopecia[a condition that causes the hair to fall out - which may account for the hair extension], or the extension was attached too tight and pulled her hair out. As a hair dresser, you should know these things rather than spew racist garbage. Did you alert her to the missing hair? She have known the actual cause.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

man thats nasty you so have the right to refuse ! Report It

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

She did not once say ALL blacks in general so please give this poster a break. The customers had serious issues certain customers with not knowing basic sanitation ! Report It

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

Yes anyone can actually see ring worms. FYI Thats a set of red circles together about 4. Obvious to anyone with any basic medical knowledge, eyesight. A red circular rash that can be behind ears, in any ethnicities beard or scalp. Such does come from none other than area skin staying unwashed. Report It

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

its a hard subject --- i mean i cant really blame you --- but you may be coming off too strong

but to answer your question - nothing can be done... in America you have the choice to chose who you want to service.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

hey, instead of being so explicitly biased, by refusing black customers (bt i understand ur prob), y dont u tel all of ur customers 2 wash their hair at home b4 coming 2 ur salon?? u can put up any excuse tht it bcomes very time consuming for u 2 do the entire procedure.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

are you serious?

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

If you are licensed, and work in a public place, I don't think you can legally refuse to do any ones hair. You can tell a person that you aren't good with their particular type hair without coming off racist.

PS -- Black live in all parts of the states, and I like it that way. Maybe you want to consider moving to a remote island where you are the only resident. Or south of the border. I saw very few blacks in Mexico and Central America.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

Sound like a change of profession is in order. Your local skinhead group may need a group head shaver.

I'm not a skinhead, just a 29 year old with a huge bald spot.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

You entered a service industry for a career and are now annoyed that you have to serve people?

First, stop being such a simple minded, prejudicial human being. Like whites and other races don't have issues with germs and poor hygiene - please.

Second, if you don't want to serve people - then switch careers.

You live in a multiracial country - if you don't like dealing with the other races - then move.

Please don't move out west. We don't need your small mindedness out here.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

It is rude and hateful the way you phrased it. I didn't know you could actually see ring worms, I mean that's a skin infection, so you must have super power vision. Not to mention that it would be a medical marvel to see a skin infection in someones hair.

So past the exaggerating your point, and being rude. Do you own your own salon? If so take the other advice and put up a sign saying hair must be freshly washed. If not go work at another salon, there are very few instances where black people go to predominately white salons, because most white people just don't have a clue about doing their(black peoples) hair. I cant even do my own. And good luck moving!

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

Your ignorant it's people like you that cause crap for the rest of us

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

oh god, people like you disgust me. you're working as a hairdresser, if you don't like it, quit. it's not as if you're so great that they want you and you alone to cut their hair. mold and ringworms?they're not the ONLY people who get it . bimbo. why can't you not serve unhygenic people then, why stereo-type the blacks?

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

Perhaps you should move, somewhere that you are the only resident. Or change your career. Or perhaps you should train so you know what to do with Afro hair rather than no understanding it, educate yourself, you may find it makes you a better person. I cannot believe how racist this comment is, it's just a different type of hair, and you should have thought about that before becoming a stylist.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

you have problems. i'm sorry

just quit the job.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

Stop doing their hair - move to another neighborhood where there's NO blacks (sarcastically). I think you should reevaluate your career choice. You could always let your boss know that you feel uncomfortable washing or styling different minorities hair. If you don't know yet, no one has to do anything they don't want to.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

Ringworms in the hair??? You need an education first of all. T o a real hairdresser hair is hair, you should do all types, you sound alot racist, secondly african hair is not course, it looks it but is actually wooly, soft, Ya I think you should move allright.....Careers!!

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

You are pathetic. A racist pig that doesn't deserve to have a job. By the way ringworms aren't really worms, it is a skin infection that many people get. Stay away from the west, we don't want you!!!

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

Get your own salon.. or you could just grow up.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

mold and ringworms?

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

OMG! This is hilarious. "These blacks"??? man. Why don't you just tell em something like this:

"Blacks! I don't wanna do yer moldy stinkin herra!"

I'm sure they would be very understanding and kind about it. LOL!

btw...this has got to be the craziest question i've seen posted here.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

Ok, the only reason i'm responding is because of all these comments before me. There is nothing wrong with not wanting to service African Americans - it is your own personal decision, unless you are in a business for someone else (if it's you making the decisions then it's basically whatever floats your boat)

Now for this specific situation...A woman had ringworm on her scalp?? That is disgusting - and very dangerous as ringworm is highly contagious. You could possible simply state that if the person's hair has been in a style for more than a day that it has to be washed prior to coming in to the salon.

I hope this helped :)

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

don't worry. how do u think the others feel 2. i mean they deal with the same stuff! and if u can't deal with them then ask 2 go 2 the bathroom so someone else will do it.(usally works)

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

First and foremost you need Jesus!!! When you made the choice to become a stylist, that was a choice to just do hair. I'm a hairstylist who happens to be black, yet for one week straight all I did was white hair. Big deal, you need a reality check, it is not 1960 America is not segregated and if you want to continue to make money you need to suck it up and deal. Mold underneath a bun is highly unlikely unless you didn't completely dry their hair to begin with. Hey if you think moving though will solve your problem then go right ahead. Maybe you'll run across someone who can teach you a lesson.

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

gross.......... suggest to them ways to keep their scalp healthier, if they have ringworm I would refuse to work on them, couldn't that be contagious?? Couldn't you just tell the receptionist or your boss to not assign black customers to you anymore?

I'm a hair dresser and I refuse to do black's hair anymore. what can be done about this?

You have a real problem!! You can't just lump a whole group of people into one category! I'm black and my hair has nine if that mess in it. I go to what ever kind of hairdresser I please because it's my hair and my money! You're a loser I would use a nasty word but you just NOT worth it!!!!! I hope one day you get the nerve to say that to someone that comes to get their hair done and they lay your A** out!!!

Red or black hair?

Hello,

Here are some color ideas but they are not to do with one's hair will do a search but I came across this and found it interesting:

http://beauty.about.com/cs/marchbeauty/t...

Top 10 Top Colors For Beige Skin / Dark Hair

You most likely have brown or black hair. Your skin is mostly likely beige and your eyes anywhere from a hazel to varying shades of blue. Here are your top ten makeup colors.

1) Cherry Reds

You should have at least one cherry red shade of lipstick. If you are nervous about going this extreme, try a lip gloss in this color. Much easier to wear.

2) Pinks

If you have blue eyes, you should definitely use pinks as a shadow color. It does amazing things for this eye color.

3) Coral

Believe it or not, you can wear this color quite effectively if you choose the right shade. Just a touch on the lids draws attention to dark blue eyes. On the cheeks, it warms you up. Remember, if it is too dark for your liking, simply tone it down with a shade of buff.

4) Pale Blue

Choose your blue carefully. You will want one that is not overwhelming.

5) Grape

Another excellent pick for you. Work with the intensity until you get it just right.

6) Grapefruit

Save this color for lip gloss.

7) Pistaschio

Another great color for the eyes. I have found them in every thing from creams to powder. *As you get older, it is easier to wear powder than cream.

8) Taupe

Dust a little over the eyes for a neutral look.

9) Mauve

Look for a grayed mauve. This will work amazingly well on your eyes.

10) Blue Gray

If you haven't tried this shade for eye liner, do so now. You will love it.

Red or black hair?

Well, my hair is reddish brown naturally and I hav never dyed it. I get tons of compliments on my hair from everyone. So I guess I would say red. But maybe dark brown would be nice. But definately be careful with the dark dyes.
