I have reallllly dark brown hair, almost black, how can I get it to be a lighter brown? What can I do? Would those brunette shampoos make my hair lighter? If not, what will? I don't want to dye my hair, though....Thanks!

The shampoos will not lighten your hair, and Sun-In will turn it orange! Dying is probably your best bet, but hanging out in the sun will help. To get it to a lighter brown without going orange, I would go to a quality salon for the dying. Otherwise, you might wind up looking like Bozo the Clown!
Really, your hair color sounds pretty as it is. Maybe you could try a new style, or just get some highlights, or lowlights, to change it a little, without having to do anything drastic. Good highlighting will give the impression that it's lighter, anyway. I'd try that first, if it was me. Good luck!

SUN IN can make your hair lighter without having to dye it. I dont think the shampoo's would do anything I have blonde hair and have tried the shampoo's in the past for blondes and my nephews (that im raising) have really dark brown hair like their mothers and it didnt do nothing but clean their hair

if you hang out in the sun....it will get lighter....my hair always gets lighter after a day at the beach or sumthing...
