Can i dye my hair blonde and black from box dye?

Right now, my hair is at it's natural brown color, aside from a slightly red tint from a wash i did about a month ago. I have "emo hair" (lots of short, choppy layers on top and then my hair gets a bit longer on the bottom and long side swept bangs) and i aim to dye the longer, bottom part black and then the short layers blonde. Now I know black hair dye is nearly always permenant but that dosnt bother me. Also i've heard that the blonde may turn orange or something? I thought i'd just dye my whole head blonde and then do the black after(useing temporary box color). Would that work?

I'm thirteen years old, and have died my hair many times but never two colors... and my mom dosn't aporove of me dyeing my hair so i need to prove i can make it pretty(=.

Oh, and please don't answer saying 'Don't dye it if your mum dosn't aprove because i'm doing it and that would just waste both our timeXD.

I know you are going to do it anyways but I got to say it anyway.....You are frying you hair...You are way to young to have colored your hair this much...It is going to be ruined but if you must do it go to a salon.

I really wouldn't recommend doing that. Have you tried L'Oreal Color Pulse? It lasts 1-2 weeks (for me it lasted a month) and comes in the colors you want. Try that, and if you like that, do permanent. Good luck!

sorry to say this,but you need to go to a salon,every time i tried going from dark to blonde,it did turn orange,its best to find a pic to take with you or make sure the hair dresser understands exactly what you want.that way,everyone will be happy,except your mom,good luck and happy coloring:)

I DONT KNOW WHERE TO START. YOU NEED PROFETIONAL PRODUCTS TO CARRY OUT WHAT YOUR WANTING TO DO. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A LICENSE TO GET THESE. THATS WHY YOUR BROWN DOESNT ALWAYS TURN BLONDE. THEY'RE NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO LIFT ALL THE SHADES. GET 7 STAGES OR QIUCK WHITE FOR THAT. NEXT DO NOT BLEACH THE WHOLE THING!!!!! SECTION IT OFF. THE BOTTOM SECTION YOU WONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BECAUSE YOUR HAIR IS ALREADY BROWN. IF YOU WERE TO BLEACH IT YOU WOULD HAVE TO GO BACK AND ADD RED TONE AND BROWN TONES JUST TO GET IT BLACK. o.k. at the risk of sounding like your Mum you should just leave your hair the way it is but if you really want black hair that is not tottally permanent then try a black Henna dye it is long wearing but not totally permanent and won't dry and damage your hair as much as normal box dye.

even if you tried to bleach it on your own, your hair would be so damaged from the levels of lift you would need to get to the color you want. Then try to color over it? there's no way the black color would stick to the damaged bleach hair. It might come out a light gray color.
