I'm Asian, and we're "supposed" to have 'black' hair, but mine turns brown, because of the exposure to the sun. I'm like a sun sponge; I tan easily, and my hair changes colors. But the ends of my hair are way lighter than the roots, because they've just been more exposed to the sun.

But I'm not saying that to keep it turning lighter, you should spend excessive time outside - skin cancer scare going around.

You might want to look at this link; it talks about lightening your hair using lemon juice. One of the answers/comments even says something about using beer instead!

yeah that happens to me. im Chinese and i have " black hair" but i think its like really really really really dark brown hair. because if you hold it up to the sunlight its like brown

first thiers no such thing as black hair only dark brown considered brunnette alot of people think its black but they are wrong the sun can make it lighter so u can see lighter hair then you saw before so your doing nothing wrong

go outside like to the beach or something and stay there for 3 hours everyday for like 2 weeks and soon ur hair will all be sortof a dark-medium brown color w/ some black lowlights
